Continuously marketing and promoting your casino site is an essential part of creating an online casino business that succeeds.

A popular marketing technique many casinos are using to showcase their name and offering is through football sponsorships.

Given football is by far the most popular sport in the world - not to mention many players like Gerard Pique and Wayne Rooney are known for their enjoyment of gambling - partnering with casino sites like Amazon Slots is a winning strategy - this collaboration seems a surefire way to reach new audiences and promote any worthwhile casino offers (which you can also do if you check out these guys here).

Below are 4 different casino brands that have decided to use football clubs to promote their services.

Manchester United

As one of the most successful English football clubs and one of the most successful in the world, Manchester United are unsurprisingly on the receiving end of many sponsorship requests; they currently have over a dozen sponsorships which includes a three-year sponsorship deal with UK-owned BetFred. BetFred was one of the first UK gambling companies to adopt a presence online and after signing a deal with the team in 2006, their partnership with Manchester United has since become one of the longest gaming partnerships in football's history.

Bayern Munich

The German giants have a long history of success in football. In fact, they are one of only five clubs to have won all three main UEFA competitions! As a result of their popularity not just in Europe but all over the world, Bayern Munich have had successful partnerships with several casinos like gambling giants Bwin and German-owned online casino, Tipico. The latter also renewed their 6-year sponsorship deal for another 4 years in 2021, extending the partnership until at least 2025.

Chelsea

Chelsea also ranks very highly on popular club rankings worldwide - not to mention they're one of the few European teams to have a massive following in Asia and Africa! Two years ago in August 2021, they signed a sponsorship deal with the Ukrainian online casino, Parimatch. CEO of Parimatch said this was part of the company's hope to break into the lucrative European market with the deal expected to last for three years but that wasn't all for Parimatch. The online casino company also became the official gambling sponsor of the English club, Leicester City.

AC Milan

Andriy Shevchenko, Paulo Maldini, Kaká and so many other world's greatest footballers have come from AC Milan. In summer 2021, this brilliant Italian force of nature announced they had accepted a sponsorship deal with PremierVegas but what is PremierVegas? They're an online casino hoping to dominate the African market and while neither party has yet confirmed the length of the deal, PremierVegas CEO Pierre Yves Deleplac has said he would love the sponsorship deal to continue for as long as possible. No surprises as to why!

Final Word

With the majority of top football clubs already making deals with at least one online casino, it's only expected for many other teams to follow suit. The partnership between football clubs and online casinos doesn't seem to be wavering, if not getting stronger - especially when both parties can enjoy several benefits from joining together. See here: online casinos need promotion from the clubs, while the teams need funding to operate successfully.

So, while Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and AC Milan might be just a few clubs we've mentioned that have moved towards these sponsorships, the future of these unions is no doubt looking very bright indeed. Just remember to explain the importance of gambling responsibly and the risks of casino play to children who are watching a game with any team with a casino sponsorship.
