AFC Corsham 0 v 6 Devizes Town U12s

Devizes arrived at Leafy Lane for a promosing match, with a couple of trainees in goalkeeper James Grassi and winger Ryan Bole, the red and whites were sure to give Corsham a good game.

Seven minutes on the clock and a goalmouth scramble enabled Luke Hamblen to nudge the ball back to star man George Taplin who lobbed the keeper delightfully from 30 yards. Taplin then scored his second after being played in by Bole. The third came on 17 minutes, a quick Olly Graham throw to Jamie Hall who turned his man brilliantly and laid the ball off for Perrett who crossed to the far post where Jason Greenidge was on hand to fire his 10th goal of the season.

Hall then got in on the act 11 minutes later after a big Grassi kick was flicked on by Bole for Hall to hammer home. Greenidge then became provider when his deep cross was turned home by Bole for a debut goal.

Devizes only second half goal came from a long through ball from Bole for Jamie Hall to run onto, masterfully take on two players before thumping home into the roof of the net.

Derry Hill 2 v 7 Devizes Town U12s

With Derry Hill previously beating the visitors title contenders a week earlier Devizes went into the game a little bit precaucious, but they needn't have bothered as after just 7 minutes their champagne passing put them two to the good. The first coming after just four minutes, after the returning Jamie Hall was fouled, reliant Kennedy stepped up to thump the ball home. It was Kennedys corner 3 minutes later which landed at Liam Halls feet - he was felled and allowed Jason Greenidge to convert.

Devizes' quick thinking was rewarded when Kennedy and George Taplin combined to float in a corner which Liam Hall converted. The fourth goal came after 19 minutes and was comfortably the goal of the game, Kennedy took the corner, Gabriel Gospodinov flicked it on and talisman Kyle Smith side footed the volley home.

The second half started brightly with the hosts coming back into the game, but early half nerves came to an abrupt end for the red and whites when Jamie Hall got on the end of a Greenidge pass after Martin Coombes precise vision had put Greenidge through and laced home.

Seven minutes into the second half Will Huband gave Derry Hill a slight lifeline when a defensive mix-up left him to round keeper Olly Graham and tap in. That lifeline however was cut up 2 minutes later when Greenidge again turned provider for Jamie Hall, who gleefully struck under the keepers body.

Ross Clifton then scored another for Derry Hill with a thunderbolt of a free kick from 25 yards, again though straight after, Smith played in Taplin who struck the ball home from an acute angle.

There was still time for Taplin to be fouled in the area again, with the game sealed Captain James Perrett stepped up to see his penalty pushed onto the bar making him the 6th player to miss from the spot this season.
