Awaiting fixture details

CAFA WERE REDS BUT LEABROOKS HAD THE BLUES.
Hmmm! Where do I start, yet again.
This week I'm definetly not going to say very much(bit busy, sorry)
I may repeat a couple of phrases in this report so before I begin apologies for that.
As usual we started brightly,as usual we had most of the possesion and as usual we had the best of the chances in the first half.
Second half began then for the next 7 minutes we were stunned by 3 quick goals.
Give the lads their due they never stopped pressing and creating chances, but it ended at 3 goals to nil.
As usual we were the better team and thats all we need to remember.
We can do it, we all know that, we just need to do it a bit more often.
Only going to mention one player again, the rest of the squad know they played their best.
Man of the Match: Jake Hardy, Jake now has the title he can share with Jack Langham( Mr Unlucky) he never stopped battling all game, has numerous chances and deserved alot more than he got. Well played mate.
Right lads lets keep going, 7th in the league,we now have teams above us that we have either beaten or should have beaten.
Lets get a few wins under the belt, we cant let Adasc and Wirswoth have it all their own way.
If the Mighty Rams can win again I'm sure we can.
COUGARRRRSSSS!

As our team "media guru" was unavailable this week, I'm afraid I've got to do the weekly ramble..... I do apologise!
Right, let me start by telling you about something I witnessed whilst on my down to the pavillion to sort the paperwork out, before the match. Hopefully, by the end of this weeks literary blurb all will be clear!
As I was passing pitch one, the biggest lad on the field made an impressive jump above 2 or 3 of his opposition and planted his forehead onto the ball with such force that it easily beat the keeper and almost took the net from its restraints! Unfortunately, the lad was a defender, in his own area and had actually scored an own goal! When the rest of his "team mates" eventually got into the area... (think about that one) they proceeded to give the lad some proper grief! Resulting in the poor lad walking to the touch line in tears wanting to be subbed! I have never heard so many horrible ways to describe a team mate, who had run the width of the area through 3 or 4 oposing players, lept higher than all around him and just ended up being unlucky! If that had have happened in my team, there would have been many early baths!
So, (you may need to refer back to the last paragraph later...), onto our match!
All the lads were really up for the match of matches, a chance to take 3 points from our "rivals". Right from the off, ADASC put our back 3 under pressure, but some great communication between Harry, Owen and Lewis meant the strikers were never really left alone long enough to put a shot on target! For the 1st 5 minutes or so, the game was pretty much end to end stuff, but on the 8 minute mark, a long ball from the ADASC defender put their striker in behind our back 3 and despite a valiant dive from Ben, a goal resulted!
This is how the score line remained until early in the 2nd half. This is when, and I'm not going to be very popular when some people read this, the referee seemed to have wished he'd turned up in red! A penalty was given against us, from what the ref saw as handball? A very dubious decision indeed, but ADASC scored another goal! This put our lads on the back foot for a few minutes and soon after the restart, they managed to sneak another passed Ben.
Far from giving up, the Cougars pulled out all the stops and forged ahead with attck after attack! Twice, Jacob and Tom were pulled to the ground, no free kicks, Twice Jake was tripped up, no free kicks. When one of the ADASC lads was unfortunate enough to handle the ball in the area.... we got a free kick OUTSIDE the area??? But the Cougars battled on, and were rewarded with a goal as the ADASC Keeper took the ball over his line, we all cheered as the Ref blew his whistle and pointed to the centre circle and I relished marking the goal down for Tommy on my pad! But then, the Ref changed his mind and gave a goal kick! I don't know why, and I'm sure nobody else does either!
So, we are 3 - 0 down in a game that should really have been 1 - 1, by my reckoning anyway!
With a couple of minutes to go, and the Cougars still managing to stay on their feet despite every effort from a few of the ADASC players to deny them of the right, the ball was being banged around on our box like a ball bearing on a pin ball machine! Bodies were flying everywhere, and commands from the Cougars Captain (Jacob 110%) were being issued with relish! I'm certain I heard the refs whistle, and so did Jacob as he bent down to pick the ball up to pass it back to the Ref. Just as his hands touched the ball, he realised that the Ref hadn't blown! The ball didnt leave the ground and Jacob shouted his apology. But the Ref deemed that this "offence" needed penalising with a penalty!! The ball was duely "spotted" and thumped toward the net, where Ben decided that enough was enough and it wasn't going to be another goal! A superb save (and very brave too) was made just before the final whistle.
I really don't like having a moan at the guys who turn up to Ref the games, it is a thankless task. But if they are going to do it, it has to be fair and open! The decisions the young lad made were, in my opinion, very wrong! A potentially great game was ruined, and I have marked the Ref accordingly on the team sheets.
Right, this is where you may want to refresh your memory by re - reading the 1st paragraph,,,,,
My Captain for the day, made a small boob, WE thought WE had heard a whistle and a penalty was awarded, when Jacob "touched" the ball. He was gutted, really gutted, as any proud Captain would have been! Did the other team members have a go at him? Did they run the length of the pitch to call him names? Were they all baying for blood?
NO!
All the lads, patted him on the back, told him not to worry, encouraged him to carry on! Ben even flung himself in front of the very well hit ball, to save a goal, for his Captain, his team but most of all I think, his mates!
I'm dead proud of you all guys, and believe me,
one day.........
