Norwich St Johns welcomed Fakenham Res to their part time home at Anglian Windows knowing that a victory would all but put the league title beyond Reepham and seal a historic double never acheived before in the history of junior football in norfolk.
The limited St Johns followers and staff at the game would have been forgiven for being slightly nervous at such an important occasion but their nerves were soon settled and their fate was clear well before the first half had ended.
Fakenham arrived with a bare 11 and after just 5 minutes Carr found Tuttle who did what he does best and beat the keeper giving the home side the lead, on 18 minutes Tuttle repaid the favour and set up Carr who made it 2, Blofeld then decided to get in on the act and after 25 minutes he made a nice run and set up Carr for number 3, only 7 minutes later it was turning into the Carr and tuttle show as Carr laid in Tuttle for number 4, 3 minutes had passed when Brock finished off a flick on from Carr making it 5-0 and with 5 minutes remaining in the first half Tuttle added number 6 following a long ball from Still in the redundant home goal.
Fakenham finished the first half with a goal after a long ball was badly defended by fewtrell and nicely finished by the visitors front man, 6-1 half time.
Racher started the second half up front following a knock for Carr and it was his midfield partner Bussnes who added the 7th following nice work from tuttle, on 53 minutes racher then grabbed himself a goal after a long ball from Stillo
As the changes were made the prolific front man Tuttle got his 4th of the day after a defensive error making the score 9-1 and following a penalty save from Still on 69 minutes Edwards made it 10 following a through ball from Tuttle who made it 3 assists for himself to add to his 4 goals for the day, the scoring was rounded off nicely by Harman who got his first goal of the season following a through ball from defender Fewtrell with only 1 minute left to play.
Man of the match was tuttle, this wasn't the best of opposition but he cooly got himself 4 goals and 3 assists yet again proving he is a different class at this level, if the Saints avoid a 17 goal defeat at Wortwell on tuesday the league will be sealed and what a season it has been, superb, well done and thank you to all involved.
