St Johns got off to a flyer and piled endless pressure on the Rovers defence which held out till the 23rd minute when Dan Lavin fired into the bottom corner for his 24th of the season in all competitions. St Johns extended their lead with 3 goals in 6 minutes early in the second half, with Chris Lavin on 46 mins, J Martin on 49 mins and J Barrie on 52 mins. Despite the scoreline the Rovers never gave up the game and tried to fight back but were not able to break down the St Johns defence, the game was sealed with J Martins 2nd of the game on 82 minutes.
The scoreline leaves St Johns with a gauranteed 3rd place this season, which in our first season in the league was a great performance, as well as this finish they also got to the semi-final of the County and League cup.
