The 1st round of the London Cup has come through. Stronstad have been drawn away against Div 1 side Real Richelle in the 1st round on the 19th September.

Stronstad United 3 v 2 Lord Chichester

Ok I was not at the match but from the amount of text messages and phones calls about the game here is the match report.

Lord Chichester went 1-0 up after a Stronstad player lost the ball which gave Lord Chichester a counter attack. Ian Privett saved the first shot but the rebounds was put away.

Half time:- Stronstad Utd 0 Lord Chichester 1

Dave George scored a long range free kick into the top corner with the Lord Chichester goalkeeper well beatne to draw the teams level.

Lord Chichester went 2-1 up as Stronstad failed to deal with the danger which gave the Lord Chichester player a chance to beat 4 players before scoring past Ian Privett.

Stronstad drew level as a long ball from left back Rich Gillam found Dave George in the box and his worm burner of a shot went through the keepers legs and into the net.

Stronsatd won the game in the 87th minute as a cross from Rich Gillam was headed home by Dan Moore to seal the win.

Jon Way - Good substitution from Stampy to bring Jon Way on to settle the defence. And we end up playin better and win the game. 2 great assists from Rich Gillam.

Ian Privett - We won 3-2 after coming from behind twice, Dave scored both equalisers the 1st a fantastic free kick and the 2nd a scuffed shot thru the keepers legs and Dan got the winner when the ball bounced off his ear from a cross.
