13-8-05 - The 05/06 season kicks off

The first friendly of the season ends in a disappointing 5-1 defeat to Clifton Dynamo at Colwick but the scoreline flatters the opposition and the boys are already looking forward to gaining revenge when we play them in the first league game of the season.

21-8-05 - Second friendly of the season

Another friendly defeat, this time at the hands of Boots Wednesday (3-1). A good first half is spoiled by a lack of fitness in the second period.

28-8-05 - Third and final pre-season game

First win of the season!! 3-1 against Broad Oak. The game is marred by an injury to Ian Baxter which turns out to be a broken wrist. A loss for the team but more importantly it means he will have to postpone his trip to South America planned for early in the New Year.

4-9-05 - Start of the league season

As predicted, we gain sweet revenge against Clifton Dynamo with an impressive 3-2 victory. Having been 2-0 up we were hanging on a bit towards the end.

18-9-05 - Second league game

Yet another away game and we record successive league victories, beating Top Valley 3-1. Could have been more comfortable but for some bad luck and bad finishing.

2-10-05 - EMPAL Cup First Round

The Dazzla hits a controversial winner 10 minutes from time (was it really our throw?) which sees us beat Division 3 Riverside 3-2 having been 2-0 down early in the second half.

9-10-05 - Third league game

At least we have a game at home! Dynamo are beaten 3-2 and again the mighty T.V recover from 2-0 down to win the game. A marginal offside decision goes our way for the equaliser and a last second own goal seals a our fifth straight victory in all competitions.
