8-8-06 - First Friendly of the Season

A good workout to kick-start what will hopefully be a successful season. A sluggish start leaves us with a lot to do against Kinoulton Villa who finished in the top four of Div 3 last year and we end the game on the end of a 5-3 defeat. Plenty of plus points though and goals for last seasons winners of the Managers player & Players player (Rich & Rob) plus a goal for the hardworking Kev are encouraging. But for a disallowed goal for Rich (definitely NOT handball!!) and a sporting decision to let their keeper stay on the pitch after a reckless challenge we could easily have come away with at least a draw.
