2002 (April) - Club Formed

The club is established in May 2002 under the name MDB FC - an abbreviation of our 5-a-side team name 'Men Defending Badly'

2002 (July) - League Affiliation

MDB FC is accepted into the East Midlands Pulic Authorities League (locally known as EMPAL)

2002 (September) - The clubs first game

MDB take the field for the first time against?????? The line-up that day was as follows............

2003 - EMPAL Div 4 Most Sporting Team 02/03

We finish bottom of EMPAL Div 4 in our first season but secure the coveted 'Most Sporting Team' title.

2004 - Team name changed to Trent Vale FC

2005 - Team name changed to Trent Vale Marconi

We finally secure some corporate sponsorship and amend the Team name accordingly.

2005 - Finish 9th in EMPAL Div 4

Fourth from bottom is probably a more accurate account but it still represents an improvement on previous campaigns

2005 (November) - Vanny bids farewell

One of the founding members of the club, Tony Vangasse, moves on to pastures new having taken a job in the South West. He progressed from being a virtual ever-present at right back in the early days to club manager and will be sorely missed by everyone.

2006 - Another founder leaves!

The end of the 05/06 season sees the loss of another founding member of the club as Tommy Morris emigrates to New Zealand.

2006 - Promotion!!!

We finish a creditable 6th in Division 4 and manage to get the last promotion slot following an expansion of the league - TVM will be playing third division football in 2006/2007!!
