Hi to all,
Hope you are having a nice summer and the kids are having a good time.
Thanks to those who attended the Bell Boating event on Sun 12th July! Everyone had a great time; a big thanks to Simon for organising this!!
Please find attached the 2009 & 2010 match schedule for our team for your forward planning. This has been released on the EBYFL website. I have saved it into MS Excel for your information. Home games are in bold type.
If there are any matches you know your son cannot play, please let us know.
Tony / Mark (Luke), our referees, please could you let me know if you have availability to referee any of our home games.
Thanks again to Chris Ross, our Webmaster. Please see the team's website link below which will have all the latest on the team, match commentary, the fixtures ahead and lots of other stats.

Please also see link below for our team from the offical league's website. You will see that we are in Division 1 of the U10s in the EBYFL League:
Our first match is at home on Sat 12th Sept against the California Tornadoes.
As last year, we will play our home matches for a Kickoff at 10am or 10.30am.
Also, I picked up the new team kits for our players from AW Sports in Woodley a few weeks ago, so we will distribute these when we next see you all. These are the new team strips, slightly larger, with the Twyford Comets logo on.
Please can you return your old team kits at the first game of the season or as soon as you can! I will return these to the club sec for use by one of the younger teams.
We are planning to join a pre season tournament on Sat 4th Sept so further details on this are to follow shortly.
Best wishes and thanks for your support as ever,
Regards
Kevin, Gavin, Richard & Simon

You may recall that we are hoping to organise a fun ‘team-building’ event for the boys for the last weekend in our calendar. We’ve come up with the idea of going ‘Bell-Boating’ at Longridge, which is in Marlow. Basically, we get two boats - with each having a trained instructor who takes us on a series of games and exercises. The boys will be split between the two boats, with an opportunity for a few adults to join in as well (depending on numbers) – so if there are parents who fancy a go, let me know – it’ll be first come first served. I’ve copied a photo of a Bell Boat at the bottom of the e-mail so you can see what we’re hoping to do.
I have been assured it’s excellent fun ( and very safe) with the boys obviously improving their team work – as probably getting soaked.
If you’d like more information on the activity or the venue, then do check out their website for more info : www.longridge-uk.org
Initially we were planning this for the Saturday morning, but due to availability we need to switch to the Sunday lunchtime – so the details are :
SUNDAY 12th JULY – starting at 12:15pm, and finishing at 1:30pm.
What we’re proposing is meet in Twyford at, say 11.30am, and we’ll take the boys over to Marlow (save everyone heading over). You can then pick up your son from Longridge at 1:30pm or, alternatively, we’d like to invite all the parents (and siblings) to stay for a couple of hours where there is a field and play park and we could organise a picnic.
I’m not sure of the exact cost at the moment (it depends on numbers) – but it will be less than £10 a head.
I appreciate this is a date change – so could you let me know by the evening of Tuesday June 2nd how many of you can make it on July 12th. If we get enough interest then we’ll book it and confirm all the details nearer the time.
Many thanks
The coaches.
