woking & horsell football club 6 v 1 Surrey Athletic Res

Victory!

Well, the 3rd team finished off their season with a great win over their local rivals, Surrey Athletic. They will now be promoted up to Division 3 for next season, where as Surrey Athletic Reserves were down near the bottom of the table (letting in 81 goals), so a lot of improvements needed.

I was not there to watch the match, but have been told, that there was only one team in this game and the quality showed, even with the help of a couple of 1st team players (Surrey Athletic) just could not make an impact on this fixture.

I would just like to Thank Mark Wheelhouse and Paul Caulfe for their hard work, this season and the plan to get promotion has been achived, also to all the players who have been a part of the team and who will be a big part of the team next season and to better oppositions (Division 3).

woking & horsell football club 5 v 0 Old Salesians

Victory!

This was the 1st team's last match of the season and they went out on a high. The match was great to watch, from start to finish. Barry, Trevor and Shandy have done a great job with the team from the time they started the job of putting the team together at such a late start of the season.

The season did not start well, with poor results, along side poor excuses and decisions, with changes needed to be made before we got to far down the season. We then had a temp management team in who did a better job and brought in a bit of stableness to the team, but that team went onto other things and so another hurdle needed to be sorted, with Barry and his management team, bringing in some good players and different systems, which had we had at the start of the season, i think would have seen us closer to the top than we are.

A great big thank you goes to all the players involved with the 1st team and also to the managers that done a good/great job.
