History
Bridlington Legion AFC was founded in 1909 by a group of local footballers. The club's first recorded match was a 2-1 defeat to Bridlington Town Reserves in 1910.
The club played in the East Yorkshire League until 1973, when they joined the Hull Sunday Football League. They have been a member of the league ever since and have won the title on 12 occasions.
The club's most successful period was in the 1980s, when they won the Hull Sunday Football League title four times in a row. They also reached the final of the FA Sunday Cup in 1985, where they lost to Spennymoor Town.
