Barnet Sunday Football League
The Barnet Sunday Football League (BSFL) is an amateur football league based in the London Borough of Barnet. It was founded in 1966 and currently has eight divisions, with teams from all over the borough competing.
History
The BSFL was founded in 1966 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just four divisions, but has since grown to its current size of eight divisions.
The BSFL has a long and proud history of providing competitive football for players of all abilities. Over the years, the league has produced a number of talented players who have gone on to play professional football.
Structure
The BSFL is divided into eight divisions: Premier Division, Division One, Division Two, Division Three, Division Four, Division Five, Division Six, Veterans Division East, and Veterans Division West.
Each division consists of 12 teams, who play each other twice in a season. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the lower division.
Cup Competitions
In addition to the league, the BSFL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Challenge Cup, the Senior Cup, the Intermediate Cup, the Junior Cup, and the League Trophy.
The Challenge Cup is open to all teams in the league, and is the most prestigious cup competition in the BSFL. The Senior Cup is for teams in the Premier Division and Division One, while the Intermediate Cup is for teams in Divisions Two and Three. The Junior Cup is for teams in Divisions Four and Five, and the League Trophy is for teams in Divisions Six, Veterans Division East, and Veterans Division West.
