About the Bury & District Sunday Football League

The Bury & District Sunday Football League is an amateur football league based in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. It was founded in 1927 and currently has over 100 teams competing in its various divisions.

The league is affiliated to the Football Association and its teams are eligible to compete in the FA Sunday Cup. The league has been home to some famous players over the years, including former England internationals Peter Reid and Gary Neville.

League Structure

The Bury & District Sunday Football League is divided into five divisions: Division One, Division Two, Division Three, Division Four, and Division Five. Each division is further divided into two groups, with each group playing each other team twice in a season.

The top two teams from each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams from each division are relegated to the next division.
