Introduction

The Community & Education Football Alliance League (CEFA) is an amateur football league run for EFL Club Community Organisations. Both men and women are eligible to play.

The league was founded in 2016 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions across England.

The CEFA aims to provide a competitive and enjoyable football experience for players of all abilities, while also promoting the positive values of football, such as teamwork, sportsmanship and respect.

Divisions

The CEFA is divided into four regional divisions: North, South, East and West. Each division is further subdivided into a number of leagues.

The top two teams from each league at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the previous division.

Format

The CEFA season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team in their league once, home and away.

The top team in each league at the end of the season is the league champion.

There is also a cup competition, the CEFA Cup, which is open to all teams in the league.
