Darlington Sunday Invitation League

The Darlington Sunday Invitation League is an amateur football league based in Darlington, England. It is affiliated to the Durham Football Association and is currently in its 95th season.

The league consists of two divisions, Division One and Division Two. There are currently 20 teams in Division One and 16 teams in Division Two. The season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other once in the regular season. The top two teams in each division at the end of the regular season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the lower division.

Darlington Sunday Invitation League action

The league cup competition is called the Alan Rusk Shield. It is a knockout competition open to all teams in the league. The final of the Alan Rusk Shield is usually played at the end of the season.
