The Derby Taverners Sunday Football League is an amateur football league based in Derby, England. It was founded in 1922 and currently consists of 24 teams.
History
The league was founded in 1922 by a group of local pub landlords. The original league consisted of just 8 teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has 24 teams.
The league has been won by a number of different teams over the years, including Derby Rovers, Derby Allstars, and Oakwood FC. The current champions are Derby Allstars, who won the league in 2022-23.
Divisions
The league is divided into three divisions: Premier Division, Championship, and Division 1.
- The Premier Division is the top division and consists of the 12 strongest teams in the league.
- The Championship is the second division and consists of the next 8 strongest teams in the league.
- Division 1 is the third division and consists of the remaining 4 teams in the league.
