East Berks Football Alliance

The East Berkshire Football Alliance (EBFA) is an amateur football league based in East Berkshire, England. The league has two divisions, headed by the Premier Division. The Premier Division was a feeder to the Hellenic League but lost its step 7 status after the 2011–12 season.

History

The EBFA was founded in 1921. The Premier Division was originally a feeder to the Spartan League, but switched to the Hellenic League in 1987. The league lost its step 7 status after the 2011–12 season, and is now a feeder to the Thames Valley Premier Football League.

Structure

East Berks Football Alliance action

The EBFA currently has two divisions:

  • Premier Division (14 teams)
  • Division One (15 teams)

The Premier Division champions are promoted to the Thames Valley Premier Football League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One. The top two teams from Division One are promoted, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Berks & Bucks Intermediate League.

Cup competitions

The EBFA also runs two cup competitions:

  • East Berks League Cup
  • East Berks Presidents Cup

The East Berks League Cup is open to all teams in the EBFA, while the East Berks Presidents Cup is only open to teams in the Premier Division.
