Faversham & District Youth Football League
The Faversham & District Youth Football League (FDYFL) is an amateur football league for children and young people in the Faversham area of Kent, England.
The league was founded in 1972 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of age groups, from Under-7s to Under-18s.
The FDYFL is affiliated to the Kent County Football Association and follows the FA's Playing the Game framework. This means that the league focuses on developing players' skills and understanding of the game, rather than winning at all costs.
The FDYFL has a strong commitment to providing equal opportunities for all players, regardless of their gender, ability or background. The league offers a variety of disability football opportunities, as well as girls-only teams.
Season Structure
The FDYFL season runs from September to April. Each team plays a minimum of 12 games, with the top teams in each age group qualifying for a cup competition.
The league also runs a number of festivals and tournaments throughout the season, giving players the opportunity to play against teams from other leagues.
How to Get Involved
If you are interested in getting involved in the FDYFL, there are a few ways to do so. You can register your team, volunteer as a coach or referee, or simply come along to watch a game.
