History

The MASFL was founded in 1947 by a group of amateur footballers in Manchester. The league initially had just four divisions, but it has since expanded to include over 100 teams competing in its various divisions.

The MASFL is affiliated to the Manchester Football Association (MFA) and is a recognised amateur football league in England. The league's teams are eligible to enter the FA Sunday Cup, which is the most prestigious amateur football competition in England.
