North East Sunday League

The North East Sunday League is an amateur football league based in the North East of England. It was founded in 1922 and currently has over 100 clubs affiliated to it.

The league is divided into 10 divisions, with each division having 10-12 teams. The season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other once in a home and away fixture.

North East Sunday League action

The top two teams from each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next lower division. The champions of the top division are promoted to the North East Combination Football League.
