South Yorkshire Ability Counts League
The South Yorkshire Ability Counts League is an independent pan-disability football league, managed by a committee dedicated to developing the junior and adult competition.
The league caters for players of all abilities, including those with physical and learning disabilities. It offers a variety of formats, including 7-a-side, 5-a-side, and walking football.
The league is affiliated to the Football Association (FA) and its fixtures and results are published on the Full Time website.
History
The South Yorkshire Ability Counts League was founded in 2019 by a group of parents and carers of disabled children. The league was created to provide opportunities for disabled people to play football and to promote inclusion and participation in sport.
The league has grown rapidly since its inception and now has over 50 teams competing in a variety of divisions. The league has also been praised for its commitment to safety and safeguarding.
