Wolverhampton Sunday League

The Wolverhampton Sunday League is an amateur football league in Wolverhampton, England. It was founded in 1920 and currently has over 100 clubs competing in five divisions.

History

The Wolverhampton Sunday League was founded in 1920 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially had just four divisions, but it has since expanded to five divisions. The league has also hosted a number of cup competitions over the years, including the Hawkins Sports Sunday Charity Cup.

The Wolverhampton Sunday League has produced a number of professional footballers over the years, including former England internationals Peter Shilton and Kenny Sansom.

Current Season

The current season of the Wolverhampton Sunday League began in September 2022 and is scheduled to end in May 2023. The current champions are AFC Huntsmen, who won the title in 2022.
