Saturn fans attending the game yesterday returned home wanting to believe that their sleeping giant is one game away from the awakening!
For the ultimate awakening from loosing the game, the coach will have to fix a few things.
First, Mr X will have to send the GK for counselling. For the attitude of approaching the game, in order to fix the over-relaxing behavior, into a more game-anticipating approach. Saturn's GK was caught pant-down when the Melati forward scored twice in the space of 10 minutes with 2 lobbing shots.
Secondly, improving further the Ferrari engine department. Wei Loon seemed to have found his long lost finishing skills by scoring the first goal in 3 months, but he wasted half a dozen of chances further. Other forwards needs to sharpen the shooting skills.
Thirdly the midfield engines need to be more compact and cohesive in closing down players. Saturn cannot be over-relying to one samseng and Saturn needs more samseng. And finally to increase speeds at the backline when facing pacey opponent.
Saturn GK was fcuk'd by their own fans for being over-confident and not guarding the goal post. GK was outside the penalty box when the opponent fired a lob shot, arching over the head into the net. Not once but twice the forward of Melati FC managed to lob thru GK Zhui.
kapsiao.com previously reported that Lau has improved tremendously over the last 2 games with transitioning to play as Wingback, but this time the predictable behavior has failed him terribly again. Lau attempted to dribble pass 1 Melati defender, and failed with 0 successful dribble. VAR replay showed Lau's head went blank when he was pressured and lost the ball. The TV replay clearly showed the facial expression of Lau, written in his face clearly that he didnt know what to do as his plan of dribbling pass the 1st, 2nd, the 3rd and cross... was clearly broken...Soon Lau was substituted.
Saturn's master (kapsiao) left-back Kor was given a chance to replace Lau as right-back. Kor's facial expression was interpreted as "lim pek show you how to defend as a right-back". The classy Kor registered 2 blocked-shots, 3 intercepts and delighting the fans. A glimpse of blocking one Melati's cross with his left-foot sent the fans screaming. Later after the game Kor was lecturing Lau "you see... lim pek do this and lim pek do that..."
A one-two smart passing between midfield maestro SzeFu and the Ferrari, was unfortunately intercepted by a Melati player. The Melati defender then made a backpass to his own GK, but the GK stupidly handle the backpass. Referee awarded freekick within the box. Melati GK was caught hiding behind the wall and leaving an opened space, allowing Saturn's Ferrari to score.
Ferrari soon given 2 golden opportunities to level the score. He squandered a 1-on-1 with a misplaced shot. And then another weak shot was stopped by the Melati GK with ease.
Midfielder MunChoy wasted a freekick by firing a weak shot straight to the goal. Another chance wasted.
The hardworking midfield lack of creativity this time around but clearly over relying on the ball-winner Andrew Kuan to stop the advancing of Melati. One man cannot run the show as the saying and Andrew was exhausted easily.
WJ the nickname cybertrooper advanced and presented with a half chance, easily lost possession when challenged by a smaller size Melati player.
The usual speedy winger KChex did not get a lot of chances due to his return from the internship from Firmino. Kchex clearly is not fit and need a few more games to return to fitness.
Defensive stalwart Adrian worked hard to thwart Melati's attacks risking the bursting of his matured pimples.
Saturn's wastefulness in front of goal gave confidence to the Melati and they went further ahead after beating the slow TK and scored in a counter attack. The final scoreline went 3-1 with Saturn loosing the game despite fielding several strong characters.
in the post match interview, coach Mr X said "Our sponsor supplied Ferrari contact lenses and fixed his problem of cannot-see. I think we need to give Ferrari a chance to get used to the clear-sight. We promised to intensify the shooting trainings for Ferrari and sooner or later he will find the net regularly."
