LU Thorncliffe 9-A-Side League
The LU Thorncliffe 9-A-Side League is an amateur football league based in Sheffield, England. It was founded in 2013 and currently has over 40 teams competing in a variety of divisions.
History
The LU Thorncliffe 9-A-Side League was founded in 2013 by a group of friends who wanted to create a more informal and accessible football league. The league quickly grew in popularity and now has over 40 teams competing in a variety of divisions.

The league is named after the LU Thorncliffe Leisure Centre, which is the home of the league. The centre has two full-size football pitches, as well as changing rooms and showers.
Format
The LU Thorncliffe 9-A-Side League is a round-robin competition, with each team playing each other once. The top teams in each division at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs, with the winners of the playoffs being crowned champions.

The league also has a cup competition, which is open to all teams in the league. The cup competition is played in a knockout format, with the winners of the cup being crowned cup champions.

The LU Thorncliffe 9-A-Side League has a variety of divisions, catering to all levels of ability. The divisions are as follows:

Season

The LU Thorncliffe 9-A-Side League season runs from September to May. The season is divided into two halves, with each team playing each other once in each half.
The playoffs are usually played in April, with the cup final being played in May.
