The club was founded in 1927 and originally played in the Southend and District League. They joined the Essex Olympian Football League in 1973 and have been playing in that league ever since.
The club's most successful period came in the 1980s, when they won the Essex Olympian League Division One championship in 1982 and 1983. They also reached the final of the Essex Senior Cup in 1983, but lost to Grays Athletic.
