Barkingside First Football Club is a football club based in Barkingside, London. The club was founded in 1898 and currently plays in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division, the seventh tier of the English football league system.

The club's home ground is Newbury Park, which has a capacity of 2,000 spectators. The club's colours are red and white.

History

• The club was founded in 1898 and joined the Ilford League.
• They won the league (jointly) after World War I, but folded due to a lack of support during the 1922–23 season.
• The club was reformed as Barkingside Boys Guild in 1925 and initially played in the Ilford Minor League.
• They were soon renamed Barkingside Old Boys, before becoming simply Barkingside in the 1930s.
• The club joined the London League in 1950 and finished runners-up in their first season.
• They won the League Cup in 1956 and were beaten finalists in 1953 and 1963.
• The club joined the Essex Senior League in 1999.
• They won the league in 2003–04 and were promoted to the Isthmian League.
• The club were relegated back to the Essex Senior League in 2007–08.
• The club won the Essex Senior League Cup in 2014–15.
• The club won the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division in 2021–22.

Thurlow Nunn League

The Thurlow Nunn League is an English football league system. It is the ninth tier of the English football league system and is divided into three divisions: the Premier Division, Division One and Division Two.

The league was founded in 1980 and is named after Thurlow Nunn, a local building company. The league champions are promoted to the Isthmian League North Division, while the bottom two clubs in each division are relegated to the Essex Senior League.

The Thurlow Nunn League is a popular league with over 100 clubs participating. The league is well-supported by local fans and is a great breeding ground for young talent.
