Folland Sports Football Club

Folland Sports Football Club is a football club based in Hamble-le-Rice, near Southampton, in Hampshire, England. They are currently members of the Wessex League Division One and play at Folland Park.

History

The club was established in 1938 by workers of the Hamble-le-Rice aircraft factory under the name Folland Aircraft. The club won the Hampshire Senior Cup in 1940–41. The following season saw the club win the Hampshire League and the Hampshire FA's Russell Cotes Cup. By 1948 the club had left the Hampshire League and were also renamed Folland Sports. In 1968 they rejoined the Hampshire League, becoming members of Division Three East.

The club won promotion to Division Two in 1972 and to Division One in 1975. They remained in Division One until 1984, when they were relegated to Division Two. The club won promotion back to Division One in 1986 and have remained there ever since.

Recent seasons

Folland Sports finished 11th in the Wessex League Division One in 2021–22. They have also competed in the FA Vase, reaching the second round in 2018–19.
