The club was founded in 1963 by a group of Irish immigrants living in Oxford. They initially played in the Oxford City League, before moving to the Oxfordshire Senior League in 1973.
The club's home ground is the Oxford Irish Centre in Cowley, Oxford. Their current chairman is John O'Connor, and their manager is Tadhg Murphy.

The Oxfordshire Senior League is an amateur football league based in Oxfordshire, England. It was founded in 1905 and currently consists of 20 teams. The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One.
The top two teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season are promoted to the Hellenic League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One. The winners of Division One are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Oxfordshire Amateur Football League.
