In their third season in 11-a-side football Ac Milano have been promoted into the South Essex League Premier Division & what a great achievment it is by the club.Ac Milano just missed out on the Division One title but the Manager,Chairman & all the members of Ac Milano are happy with the promotion...It will be a tough division next season & Ac Milano must know they got to be on top of their game in every game.
It was'nt a great performance by Ac Milano against Fairlop Rangers but a 3-0 win,a clean sheet & promotion i don't think anyone going to complain but if they play like the way they did against Fairlop Rangers in the premier division next season Ac Milano won't be walking away smiling...
Ac Milano went back to their normal back four with Noorul Patel being excellent at left back...In the middle Asif Giddi came in as Talha Adam,Fayaz Mehboob & Siraz (khanki) wer'nt available.It has been a long time since Giddi has got a game & he played really well in that holding role...Arif Patel opened the scoring for Ac Milano after a great through ball by Naeem Yusuf & Arif being one on one with the Fairlop Rangers keeper made no mistake & slotted the ball in the net.Talha Mebs got Milano's second & his 12th goal of the season after been set up by Noorul Patel & Talha taking on 2 players & shot with his right foot...
At half time it was 2-0 to Milano...
Second half was so poor that Ac Milano only managed one goal when Arif Patel scored his 13th of the season,one ahead of Talha Mebs...Arif's second goal was a lucky goal as it seemed he had crossed the ball in from the left but somehow it ended up in the back of the net.Arif who was'nt at his best as hes been got the goals but could of had at least five but missed to many chances...Naeem Yusuf had two one on one's with the Fairlop Rangers keeper & could of broken his duck but he missed those chances very poorly...
Fairlop Rangers did'nt trouble the back four too much but Ac Milano goalkeeper did make two good saves.It was a performance we don't want to see from Ac Milano again & stand in manager Yakub Bhai was not at all happy with the football Ac Milano were playing...
At the final whistle everyone celebrated & hugged each other in celebration.Ac Milano in the premier division for next season...The players had made chairman Siraz (khanki's) dream come true in being a good 11-a-side team who have just become runners up.Ac Milano chairman Siraz (Khanki) would of been over the moon if his Ac Milano had won the title but he is so happy with the promotion & looking forward to next season...
It has been a great season & the chairman said "The lads have done me proud & they showed what good players they are.i did'nt expect us for top two but the lads at Ac Milano Fc proved me wrong & we were so close to the 1st division title.I made the right decision in handing over the management to Sazid Asmal (moti) at the beginning of the season & he has done great job at Ac Milano.My aim & dream is my Ac Milano Football Club to be there on top with other great clubs.The youngsters in Osman,Talha Mebs,Fayaz,Little zuber & Anas kp have done really well in their 1st season at the club...All i would like to say is THANK YOU."
Ac Milano are still in a cup competition & would be great if they can add that trophy to their promotion celebrations...
