Caterham Pumas U18 Kings 4 vs 7 Ashtead Colts U18 Athletic

On a glorious final day in the sunshine the team came back for one last frantic hurrah.   However, Caterham hadn't read our script and showed great quality in the final third to get 2 well taken goals.  We needed our top players to respond, and so they did, firstly through Zak running in from the left to slot into the corner, and then 2 minutes later a well executed lob from Jack drew us back level.  Ewan then held onto the ball on a crowded edge of the box for long enough to make room for a shot and fire home, and the away support were in dreamland.It wasn't over as an opposition penalty restored it to parity at the break, giving the guys plenty to think about as they approached the second half.  There was still little to separate the teams as Ewan's goal was cancelled out by Caterham's quick thinking corner. One of Theo's many defence splitting passes was accepted by Jack to put us back into the lead before Ewan rounded off a superbly taken hat trick to give us some daylight.  The result was then put beyond doubt by a James thunderbolt into the roof of the net from a tight angle, to loud celebrations.  A fantastic final game which was a pleasure to watch.  These young men will go on to greater things.  Wishing them all the absolute best
