The Tunbridge Wells Foresters under 10’s Tandridge Spartak team played at home this weekend against Whyteleafe. The game ended in a 4-0 victory for the home side.

Foresters started well and looked to get a early goal but the Whyteleafe defence held solid till midway through the half when a Joseph Pickett cross drifted over the keeper into the net, having taken the lead the boys played some good football but could not create any of their opportunities into goals so at half-time the scoreline was 1-0.

In the second half the Under 10’s continued in the same vane and extended their lead when a Ollie Plunkett cross eluded the keeper to drop into the net at the far post.  Ollie Plunkett added the third goal soon afterwards when he finished off a pass from Erik Anderberg. Luke Credland set up Erik Anderberg for the fourth goal and some good saves from the keeper kept the score down. Another solid defensive display ensured that Whyteleafe were limited to long range opportunities and never really threatened the home goal.

The boys one again put in a good performance and played some excellent football and have shown how they have developed during the course of the season.

The squad for the match was as follows:-

L.Caira, L.Credland, F.Abbott, J.Phillips, J.Pickett, , O.Plunkett, J.Phillips, M.Horlock and E. Anderberg.
