Good options all over the pitch and on the bench, and there would have to be as lions fielded what looked like a strong side, particularly going forward.

What followed in the first 25 minutes could be best described as a mauling as we put the game to bed with ruthless efficiency, firstly Ebbo found himself in space and from and excellent Piercey cross planted his header into the bottom corner 1-0. A second goal was not long coming, scored this time by returning hero Shaun Coker who lofted a clearance from just outside his own penalty area, which looked to be sailing harmlessly through to the lions keeper only for it to bounce and leave him stranded as the ball roll into the net from all of 70 yards out, much to the amazement of many of our players and supporters who had looked away in disgust 2-0. Lions were looking beaten at this point and Piercey was played in by Ebberson and duly converted side footing past the helpless keeper 3-0. Rudgie was next to add himself to score sheet picking up a ball just outside the area, his goal bound shot was deflected wrong footing the keeper for 4-0. Lions came back into the game and had a couple of chances which were just off target or saved by xl goalkeeper summers who enjoyed a fine game. We had a further glorious chance to make it five, however this was spurned by Piercey from all of 4 yards, before some good work by Rudgie and Ebbo created the fifth, a superbly placed flying header by Ryan Coker..... Sorry not Ryan Coker their centre back 5-0. Half time.

Easy to come out second half and lose our intensity we showed in the first half, and truth be told the second half was more of a battle, we did add a sixth goal early on when Jason superbly curled the ball home from the edge of the area 6-0. Lions best spell of the game came in the final 30 minutes and they scored through Ben Phippen who also missed a penalty, courtesy of a joke referring decision to award a handball against Gunns. We had a few more chances, Kingson twice firing over and rya. Coker being flagged offside(although lions manager will carter later admitted he had flagged for banter). The game finished shortly after - a great mornings work by all!
