The back for were resilient dealing the home teams tall and quick striker Richards and Barnett were solid and spender and Mahler looked unbeatable. An incident occurred when Idsall&rsquo;s striker swung back and his fist connected with the nose of Plimmer although trying to play on with blood on his top and over his face he had to make way for Upton. Even more controversy when the ball was played to a man in an offside position of which the referee called offside but the players continued Belvidere caught out due to the referee and the ball was slotted in past a confused Putsorn. Plimmer resumed the pitch dazed and losing the ball in dangerous positions, but the attacking force of Meredith, Marsh, Wear, Halford, looked certain to score with fullbacks Mahler and Spender getting forward. The game was refereed with no linesmen confusing both sets of players.
