Brook took the lead on 6 minutes when McCartney played a long ball over the top for Williams to chase, Williams with one of his trademark runs from the left wing cutting inside a few defenders before firing into the roof of the net.

Brool should have extended the lead when a wonderful through ball from Williams found Owen who lobbed the on rushing keeper, the ball bouncing back off the post to Owen a yard out who somehow missed his kick and the ball was cleared to safety.

Brook continued to test the keeper on a number of occasions but couldn't make the breakthrough. Lymm came into the game as the half wore on with a few intriguing battles developing.

Half time 1-0.

With Lymm increasingly coming into the game Brook finally made the breakthrough and got that vital second goal. Williams with a neat chip to Osborne who in turn fed Williams, this time cutting in from the right before calmly slotting home.

Lymm pulled one back with 15 left with a nest finish from the right side of the box.
