BoC F.C. 5 vs 6 Battersea Alexandra

Crazy game. We were ripped to pieces first half, as we combined our customary slow start with integrating a large number of ringers into the side. Credit to Battersea Alex. as well - they played some pretty decent passing football and finished their chances well. They had turned up with quite a young side and a sprinkling of vets who mostly were subs. The first was a lob over the top which beat the defence and then a tidy finish. Can't remember / have erased from my memory the others!

Some grumbling at half time, but we resolved to at least win the second half and the fact that we did that, and got within a sniff of actually equalising, meant that we at least salvaged some pride from the game. Andy poked one in after a corner to set us on our way, then Troy scored after a cutback from Jack. Paul went on a great run and finish, 3-5. Unfortunately we then conceded what turned out to be the winner, shot from distance into the bottom corner. Ollie got the goal his performance deserved, followed by a 2nd from Paul, but we couldn't get the equaliser and indeed they had a bit of pressure with repeated corners right at the end.

We seemed to pick up some fans, who were cheering us on 2nd half as well, form behind the goal, track side.

Good game, played in good spirit. Battersea Alex. also in the Latch after the game.
