BOFA FC hosted Trqlo at Canada Water on 9 March 2026, with kick-off at 7:30pm in a league fixture that ended in a 2–1 defeat for the home side. The match lasted 70 minutes plus added time, with Trqlo edging the contest thanks to two well-taken goals.

BOFA FC lined up in a 4-3-3 formation, with Matt starting in goal behind a back four of Tom at right back, Arinze and Tres in central defence, and Will BA at left back. In midfield, Joe operated on the right, Max held the central role, and Will played on the left side of midfield. The attacking trio consisted of Eman on the right wing, Evi Teziru leading the line as striker, and Kane UCL on the left. The setup aimed to provide width and attacking support from the flanks, while the midfield worked to link defence and attack. BOFA FC had no substitutes available for the fixture.

The first half was closely contested, with both teams probing for openings but unable to find a breakthrough before the interval at 35 minutes.

Trqlo took the lead ten minutes into the second half with a left-footed strike in the 55th minute. The visitors then doubled their advantage shortly after, scoring again in the 58th minute with a composed right-footed finish to make it 2–0.

BOFA FC continued to push forward and believed they had pulled a goal back in the 65th minute when the ball appeared to cross the line during a goalmouth scramble. However, the goal was not awarded, with the linesman Ziggy missing the decision.

Just a minute later, in the 66th minute, BOFA FC did find their goal. Tom rose highest to head home from a corner delivered by Eman, reducing the deficit and bringing the home side back into the game. Tom’s finish highlighted his aerial ability, while Eman’s delivery from set pieces consistently caused problems for the Trqlo defence.

BOFA FC were given a major opportunity to equalise late on when they were awarded a penalty with just two minutes remaining. Evi Teziru stepped up to take the spot kick, but his effort was saved by the Trqlo goalkeeper, denying BOFA FC a dramatic late equaliser.

Despite pressing in the closing stages, BOFA FC were unable to find another goal before the final whistle, with Trqlo holding on to secure the win. Although Trqlo showed determination and spirit throughout the contest, their play also included frequent fouls and physical challenges.

The match proved difficult to officiate at times, with referee Martin struggling to maintain control as several fouls went unpunished. BOFA FC’s 4-3-3 formation created attacking opportunities, but missed decisions and Trqlo’s resilience ultimately meant the home side left the match without points.
