Away league match played on 18 September 2011.
Kicked off at 10:15 AM

Thanks to some flat tyres and dodgy Sat Navs the long trip to Worlingworth took even longer than usual for the Badgers this weekend.

Kick off time was delayed as only 9 Badgers had made it to the ground before 10.15am. When the game did finally get under way it was end to end stuff, with the Badgers forcing a series of corners whilsth Worlingworth always looking dangerous on the break.

Sam Gooch fired spectacularly over when Cracknnell was well placed, before Backhouse dragged a long range shot wide of the post.

Worlingwoth's pace was a contsant threat, but the Badgers offside trap, well marshalled by Stiff and Bowdler meant they rarely got in on goal.

Good work down the left by Cracknell and Kearney lead to a dangerous cross, but neither Bones or Gooch could make a connection.

The game was heating up, and with the referee failing to punish some dangerous tackles and get a grip of the game, Cracknell was caught off the ball with an elbow that not only split his lip but broke his tooth. Much to the disgust of many of the Badgers!

Clubb did well to head clear a dangerous corner whilst under pressure from the Worlingworth centre half and his rather sharp elbows.

Worlingworth then had their best chance of the half. Their striker broke down the right to pull the ball back for his strike partner who's well struck shot was saved by the diving Swan.

On 42, Neve shot high and wide and the half finsihed with little more in the way of action. 0-0

The second half started the same as the second, the Badgers having several set pieces but unable to find the net.

Worlingworth took the lead on 51. Its was a goal the Crazy Gang would have been proud of, a big kick from the keeper cleared the whole back four and left the Worlingworth striker to lob the advancing Swan, to make it 1-0 despite Clubb's best attempt at an acrobatical goal line clearence. 1-0

Worlingworth were soon 2 up. The trusty offside trap failed and the Worlingworth striker slotted home his second of the game. 2-0

The Badgers were thrown a life-line just minutes later, a Backhouse corner found Kearney who had his legs taken away from behind (Lee Clarke style) as he went to strike the ball. Backhouse thumping home the resulting penalty to go top of the Badger goal scoring charts. 2-1

The Badgers were doing their best to get back on level terms, but the combination of the heat and the night before meant some of the lads were struggling with the pace of the game.

On 78, Worlingworth regained their two goal advantage, when a neat one-two found their stiker unmarked in the box who made no mistake from 12 yards. 3-1

Worlingworth were now in danger of running away with the game, Swan making a number of important saves. The best of the bunch saw him tip a looping shot over the bar and pull his shirt back over his exposed belly before he'd even landed on the ground.

In the dying moments to the game, Worlingworth scored their fourth. A long range strike from an un-marked midfielder found the bottom corner of the goal. 4-1

Final Score 4-1

The scoreline may flatter the home side some what, but the Badgers, who controlled large parts of the game never really threatened the Worlingworth goal during open play. Next up Holbrook Hornets
