After picking up just 1 point from their last 3 matches Cavalier FC got back to winning ways in Division three with a 6-2 victory away at Warminster Wanderers.

Jeremy Wiltshire opened the scoring with a trade mark long range free kick. A few minutes later old boy Leigh Blanchard ran onto a long ball with his lightning pace, ferociously toe poking the ball into the net and that man Blanchard again added his second and Cavaliers third "sliding" onto a cross that many watching think he actually fell into. Nevertheless the look of delight on his face was priceless. With time ticking on his playing career an emotional Blanchard is quoted as saying "This game was the highlight of a long, well distinguished career"

A fine move from Adam Bewley saw the prolific striker bag his first of the game his teams fourth. Wanderers came back into the game with Jamie Howse rifling home a "Wiltshire style" free kick leaving keeper Leo Whitehead with no chance of stopping it.

The midfield duo of Scott Stroud and man of the match Roger Wiltshire bossed the midfield along with winger Matt Hale out on the right. If it wasn't for his new bright orange boots no one would have even seen Jack Lenaghan out on the left until the second half as he spent most of the first half introducing himself to the opposition players.

The back four of Jez, Michael Stone, Tom Evans and Tom Brazier stayed strong and thwarted almost every attack. A corner for the Cavalier came off the back of a defender for an own goal taking it to 5-1 half time.

Wanderers reduced the deficit to 5-2 with a fine strike from Phil Lucas. Despite Wiltshire’s free kick and solid defending at the back four the best moment of the game came when with no one near him Wiltshire tripped over his own feet mirroring Neil Fletcher last week, shortly after he was subbed off after twisting his ankle with the Dave Young as the only sub due to another Mark Roach no show he had to man up and lead from the front, rewarded with his bravery with a bullet header taking the game out of sight.

Special mention to the machine that is Michael Stone after running a 5K and 300m swim before the game he still had the energy to boss the Cavalier defence.
