Home league match played on 22 April 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

After Chadwick’s title win on Thursday Chadwick came out quite sluggish and unfortunately played what has to be the worse performance of the season.

Untestable Chadwick may have taken their foot off the throttle having already won the league.

Chadwick did start the brighter and went 1-0 after a great follow by Chris White win his weaker foot. 1-0

Chadwick played the ball around like they usually did, but kept making that final pass not reach the target man.

After a short back pass by George Wishart the Priors striker took the ball round keeper Tom Gold and found the back of the net 1-1.

Chadwick stepped it up a bit and top goal scorer Danny Chinn lobbed the ball over the Priors keeper and found the back of the net and his 42nd of the season. 2-1

Half time.

Priors came out well in the second half and after a mix up between keeper Tom Gold and Ian Houghton Priors had a corner. Clearly impeded by a Priors player Tom Gold was held back so he couldn't collect a cross and Priors player had a unmarked header which crept in at the back post. 2-2

Priors carried on playing well and had a strike from outside the box which moved wickedly in the air and beat the diving keeper 2-3.

Soon after the re-start the Priors keeper did a large kick up the pitch and centre back Ben Saunders lost the ball in the sun allowing the Priors striker to nip in and strike the ball home. 2-4

In Chadwick’s credit from then it was one way traffic and Chadwick pulled a goal back by Anthony Willis making the score 3-4.

Chadwick pressured the Priors goal, but the Priors keeper played well and kept them in the game.

With 1 minute to go Chadwick got a corner and all players piled forward even keeper Tom Gold. Ben Saunders whipped the ball in to the box and Tom Gold found himself unmarked on the penalty spot, Tom got a good header and it looked destined to pull the scores level if not for a flailing arm by the Priors keeper.

The full time whistle sounded and gave Chadwick their first league defeat of the season.

Disappointing for Chadwick, but meaningless as they are still the champions.

Chadwick need to forgot about this defeat for next Sunday's Andy cup final against Division 2's Cubbington Albion.

It will be their hardest match of the season, but very winnable.
