Drayton Bullets 4 vs 2 COLTS

<p>To be honest since Christmas we have played some really good football and have deserved to get more then we have out of the games, on Wednesday we at last got we deserved, it was no fluke and but for some near misses in the second half&nbsp;from Matt and Luke we could of had more.&nbsp; <p>Toby won the toss and swapped ends, Colts kicked off up the sloop into a strong wind, the early play was quite tense with neither side gaining control but even early on we like we tend to do were playing the better football with lots of neat passing and quick movement. <p>Slightly against the run of play Colts went into the lead about half way through the half with a well taken goal, straight from the kick off we went close and won a corner, Matt fired it across the box and it beat everyone and rolled out for a throw in, shortly after Luke went close firing just wide with the keeper beaten and Toby did the same after Matt laid it back to him at the edge of the box. <p>Dimmitri who had done well on his comeback then got another injury and had to go off with Tom&nbsp; coming on in his place. By now we were looking the more likely to score and it was no surprise when Tom L calmly placed the ball passed their keeper for the equaliser, shortly afterwards we went into the lead for the first time after a goalmouth scramble, a long throw from Tom L was flicked on to an unmarked Scott who half volleyed the ball past the keeper, it&nbsp;hit the underside of the bar before going in. Colts were shocked but by the way they were talking they believed that with the wind in the 2nd half&nbsp;they would come back into it, but they didn't expect to be two behind! Right on half time a miracle happened, Tyler, who to his great credit has always given 100%,&nbsp;has never scored, with seconds to go he found himself inside the penalty area and after his first shot was blocked beat the Colts defender to the ball and fired home to make it 3-1, a crucial goal at a crucial time. <p>Colts came out all guns blazing in the second half but Ritchie and Danny were playing with confidence and with Mash commanding his box they rarely threatened, two or three times they played a long ball down the middle and each time Mash was there to clear, at the other end we were playing some lovely passing football, Jordan in particular was having another great game, &nbsp;Matt was finding acres of room on the left and was running rings round their right back, twice doing everything but score, Luke and Jacob also came close. In the end it was Luke who put the game out of reach with a well placed strike. At that point I couldn't see how Colts could get back into it and was starting to get excited! But it wasn't over, Ritchie knocked the ball out for a corner and being honest admitted the fact as I was about to give a goal kick, at the resulting corner their tall defender rose unchallenged to head in to make it 4-2, there was still 10 minutes to go but not enough time for a Colts comeback. <p>It was our first win of the season, the first time we had won when being behind, the first time Tyler had Scored and our forth win of all time. A fantastic team performance.
