Astley Bridge Valkyres U13 0 vs 10 Eastleigh Marvels

*Matchday 3* Astley Bridge Valkyrie 0-10 Eastleigh Marvels

Another comprehensive win for the lads…i spoke to their coach ahead of the game (who wasn’t there ??) who advised they knew they were in the wrong division but would give us a game and battle

Tougher times ahead for our lads, we have 4 or 5 more difficult challenges ahead of us providing the league don’t mess with the fixtures and our league.

As I said last week we can only win what’s in front of us and important to give it our best no matter the situation

We played decent today but not our best, we didn’t have to be in fairness. We restricted them to 2 or 3 half chances all game and I don’t think we got out of 3rd gear ??

As is common this season the goals and assists nicely shared around ?? team effort

If I’m being mega critical I think we chose the wrong options at times… in the final third especially first half lads trying to go it alone or rushing passes not choosing the right pass…and some erratic finishing ?? but that’s just me being a perfectionist ??

Goals Alex ???? Joe ?? Jawad ???? Josh ?? Jack ?? Jacob ???? OG ??

Assists Jack ???? Alex ?? Jacob ???? Jawad ?? Josh ?????? Joe ??

Parents player went to Alex who was a nightmare for the opponents all game running in behind

Coaches went to Eric who used the ball so well again from CB choosing correct forward options when intercepting or making a tackle

Most improved to Jacob who was excellent second half continuing his early season form, goals, assists and work rate

Thanks parents for braving the rain and continued support
