Eastleigh Marvels 10 vs 1 Bolton County Boys U12 Jag

Match report - Gameweek 4 Marvels 10-1 Bolton County Jaguars

Didn’t expect another walkover today, think the leagues are very mismatched. If we get moved up so be it as the lads aren’t being tested currently

There are better sides in our league we just have to be ready for them should we stay put.

That being said our lads can only play what’s in front of them.

We started a little sluggishly I thought, despite this we were comfortable and up 3-0. We were guilty of not releasing the ball quickly enough in the final third.

Great strikers finish from Alex to open the scoring after a fantastic cross from Jacob, the second a pearler of a corner from Josh to set up Jonesy. Jacob completed the scoring in the first half after a mazy run from Zachs throw

Half time message was to release it quicker and pass the ball better. From the whistle this was evident the point had hit home and we created chances at regular intervals

Some real unselfish play from Alex saw Jack score the fourth and the floodgates opened. Chances galore then as the lads got the ball down the wings and into the box much quicker countering with ease

Goals followed from Alex, a couple more from Jack and another Jacob rebound. A lovely carbon copy header from the first half from Zach after a JP corner

Pleased for Eric to get a goal for us, I know he can play anywhere but good to see him enjoying his football again

Lots of rotations second half to try and keep the score down but the lads were relentless

Goals Alex ???? James ?? Jacob ???? Jack ?????? Zach ?? Eric ??

Assists Jacob ???? Joshua ?? Zach ???? Alex ?????? Jack ??

Coaches today went to Jack for an improved performance not letting his head drop too much first half after making some good runs, got his rewards second and worked hard off the ball mostly

Parents i went early before all votes in (sorry Eric you’ve won enough recently ????) and gave to Josh (would have given him coaches otherwise) Josh was fantastic today in a midfield role which suits him, great vision, work rate and strength - well done

Most improved we gave to Zach for a great header, couple of assists and decent all round game

Welcome back to Zach and T after your injuries, good game to ease yourselves back into - both did lots of good things
