zafas 1 vs 2 Emirate Fc Zaria

Emirate Fc Zaria hosted Zafas at their home ground on 25 October 2026, with kick-off at 3:00pm, in an intense 11-a-side encounter that ended 2-1 in favour of the hosts after 90 minutes of competitive football under referee Fahad’s watchful eye.

Emirate Fc Zaria lined up in a classic 4-3-3 formation, deploying four defenders across the backline, three midfielders centrally, and a front three tasked with both creating and converting chances. The defensive quartet would be expected to maintain solidity and discipline, while the midfield trio aimed to control possession and link play effectively between defence and attack. Up front, the wide forwards on the left and right flanks were charged with stretching the opposition’s defence and delivering crosses or cutting inside, with the central striker focusing on finishing opportunities. No substitutes were named for either side prior to kick-off.

The first half unfolded with both teams probing cautiously, seeking to establish rhythm and control. Despite several promising moves, neither side managed to break the deadlock before the interval, and the referee’s whistle for half-time arrived with the scoreline still goalless.

After the break, Emirate Fc Zaria began to assert themselves more decisively. The home side’s attacking intent soon bore fruit as they found the net to take the lead. Zafas responded with urgency, managing to pull one back to level the contest and inject fresh tension into the closing stages.

However, Emirate Fc Zaria’s resilience shone through as they regained the advantage with a second goal, ultimately securing the victory. The match was marked by a competitive spirit and tactical discipline from both sides, but it was Emirate Fc Zaria’s ability to capitalise on key moments that proved decisive.
