Glebe U10 Jaguar’s 5 vs 1 FC Elmstead

The Jags welcomed the Elmstead Roosters on a sunny Sunday morning, with both sides looking to continue their strong start to the season.

The Jaguars knew they were in for a battle against a strong, physical side, but what a response they produced. From the first whistle, every single player stood tall, matched the opposition's intensity and then let their football do the talking in a superb 5-1 victory.

Freddie Chenery was everywhere and deservedly picked up MOTM. His hard work and intelligent movement saw him get into some excellent positions, and he was rewarded with two well-taken goals.

Ben kept his nerve to hammer home a penalty (giving Kane something to think about) , while Alexander refused to be bullied off the ball all game. Time and again he powered through challenges with his trademark driving runs, helping himself to two brilliant goals.

In midfield, Lewis battled like an absolute warrior, taking on anything and anyone that came his way, winning challenges and driving the team forward whenever needed.

At the back, Micky, Mansell and Brown were indomitable. They held the line brilliantly, stood firm under pressure and gave the opposition very little to work with.

Out wide, Winston glided up and down the wings, constantly probing the Elmstead defence and creating opportunities, while G Martin worked tirelessly up front, making sure balls were collected, held up and laid off to bring his teammates into play.

In goal, Jax produced a solid first-half display, remaining unshaken in the face of a determined opposition. Harrison then stepped in after the break and continued the fight, helping ensure the Jaguars stayed firmly in control.

This wasn't just a win. It was a statement. Against a tough and physical side, the Jaguars showed courage, quality and togetherness from first whistle to last.

?? MOTM: A well-deserved MOTM for Freddie, who put in a brilliant all-round performance. His work rate, movement and determination caused problems all game, and he was rewarded with two well-taken goals. Always available for a pass and never afraid to put the effort in, Freddie played a huge part in the Jaguars' dominant display.

Still Unbeaten. Still Unstoppable. Up the Jags! ???????
