The Jaguars made the short trip for a local derby against Orpington Town on Sunday morning, knowing they were in for a tough battle. Derby matches are never easy, and this was a great test of character for the boys against a determined side.
After a tense 1st half Orpington managed to nip the lead early in the 3rd quarter, but the Jaguars responded brilliantly. The boys kept believing, worked hard for one another and refused to give up. Their determination paid off when Freddie Brown produced a heroic charge through the opposition, helping Glebe find a deserved equaliser.
At the back, the boys defended as a unit, with everyone putting in the hard yards. Harry made some important saves when called upon, helping keep the Jaguars in the game and giving the team the chance to battle back.
Going forward, the attacking quarter caused Orpington plenty of problems, repeatedly testing the defence and coming close on several occasions. Their energy and determination kept the pressure on right until the final whistle.
While Freddie rightly picked up Player of the Match, this was a real team effort. Every single player contributed, worked tirelessly and played their part in securing the draw away from home.
?? MOTM: Freddie Brown
Well done boys, plenty of character shown, and the unbeaten start continues. Up the Jags! ?????
