On 6 March 2026, Harta SE U14 hosted Kunszentmiklós GYFE at Hartai Focipálya in a friendly 9-a-side match that kicked off at 5:30pm. The home side fought valiantly but ultimately succumbed to a 2-1 defeat after 80 minutes of play plus added time.
Harta SE lined up in a 3-3-2 formation, deploying three defenders at the back with Kontra Máté on the right, Fenyvesi Ádám centrally, and Lukácsi Áron on the left. The midfield trio consisted of Gottschall Mátyás on the right, Szabó Márton in the centre, and Ugochukwu Dániel Ekwochi on the left, tasked with both defensive duties and supporting the attack. Up front, Gunyics Miklós operated as the right forward, while Lázár Flórián took up the left forward role, expected to spearhead the offensive efforts. Between the sticks was goalkeeper Suhajda Máté. The substitutes available were Knódel Kristóf and Grob Ádám.
The match began with Harta SE eager to impose themselves, but early chances were squandered. Within eight minutes, Ugochukwu Dániel Ekwochi stepped up to take a penalty but fired wide, an ominous sign for the hosts. Despite this setback, goalkeeper Suhajda Máté was alert at 13 minutes to comfortably catch a shot, keeping the scoreline level.
Harta SE’s woes from the spot continued when Szabó Márton’s penalty attempt at 24 minutes was expertly saved by the visitors’ goalkeeper. The defensive line was soon disrupted when Lukácsi Áron was forced off injured at the half-hour mark, with Knódel Kristóf coming on to fill the left defender position.
The period between the 32nd and 37th minutes was particularly frustrating for Harta SE as Fenyvesi Ádám took three penalties in quick succession. The first struck the crossbar, the second was saved, and the third went wide, leaving the home side unable to capitalise on these golden opportunities. The half concluded at 40 minutes with the score still goalless.
The second half saw Harta SE press forward with renewed vigour. Gottschall Mátyás tested the opposition keeper at 41 minutes, but his effort was saved. Just six minutes later, the breakthrough came when Fenyvesi Ádám provided a precise assist for Gunyics Miklós, who finished from close range inside the box with his right foot to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
However, Kunszentmiklós GYFE responded immediately, putting pressure on Suhajda Máté who was called into action multiple times. At 47 minutes, the goalkeeper made a crucial catch followed by a point-blank reaction save, denying the visitors an equaliser.
Despite Harta SE’s attempts to extend their advantage, including a saved effort from Lázár Flórián at 59 minutes and another catch by Suhajda at 61 minutes, the visitors gradually found their rhythm. A substitution saw Grob Ádám replace Knódel Kristóf at 62 minutes.
Both Gunyics Miklós and Szabó Márton had shots saved in the mid-60s, with Fenyvesi Ádám also firing wide at 68 minutes. Szabó Márton continued to be denied by the opposition keeper with multiple saves between the 69th and 71st minutes, while Suhajda was again alert to catch a shot at 69 minutes.
The deadlock was broken at 72 minutes when Kunszentmiklós GYFE capitalised on a defensive mistake, scoring from close range with a right-footed finish to level the match at 1-1. Harta SE pushed on immediately, with Gunyics Miklós’s attempt saved at the same minute.
Tensions rose late on as Gunyics Miklós was shown a red card for unsporting behaviour at 76 minutes, reducing Harta SE to eight men in the closing stages. This numerical disadvantage proved costly as Kunszentmiklós GYFE found the winner to seal a 2-1 victory.
Despite the loss, Harta SE showed resilience and created numerous chances, but their failure to convert penalties and the late sending off ultimately shaped the outcome. The match provided valuable experience for the young side as they continue their development in the 9-a-side format.
