Vipers u12 vs Bollington Jaguars

Our last game of the season at home in a local Derby vs Bollington who we have had some great games against this season already.

We were slow in the 1st 10 minutes, and most of the early stages were played in our half as we struggled to get out. Eventually we started to grow into it.

On 11 minutes we got a free kick on the edge of the box after Toby was fouled and Zak fired into the bottom corner.

On 27 minutes, Oliver took a quick throw to Tymor who turned and lashed a great shot from 20 yards.

We were winning more of the midfield battles and started to play some lovely 1-2's around the attacking areas.

Into the 2nd half, we were getting good joy down the wings with Ow, Rory, Siddarth and Oliver. Owen went down the right and cut in and curled a lovely cross to the back post and Oliver nodded in at the back post his 2nd headed goal of the season. Not too long after the same duo combined again. Owen with a lovely through ball over the top, Oliver bravely chased and as the keeper met him to clear, the ball rebounded off Oliver and into the empty net.

We made changes and Jack even took a stint in central midfield. Toby going in goal made a few good saves and clearances bit was eventually beaten as Bollington pulled one back.

A brilliant end to the season, and overall we have had a great season. Finishing in a decent league position and scoring plenty of goals along the way. The boys have really stuck to their tasks and grown month on month. Thanks to all the boys for their efforts and parents commitment too.

Already looking forward to next season. Well done boys.
