A lovely sunny morning back at home today and it was a clash of two teams doing well in the league.
It was a scrappy 1st half with not too many clear cut chances. We didn't win enough 50/50s and too hesitant on the 2nd balls. We had good play down the right and Austin crossed for Owen who caught a half volley but it went over the bar.
Into the 2nd half and we improved slightly with Toby moving into midfield. We lost a really soft goals giving a free header from a few yards off a corner. Middlewich were given a very soft penalty shortly after but Jack made a great save down low. We tried to push forward and made some good progress down the right with Tymon and Siddarth. We really struggled to make any real chances.
We got caught woth a through ball and Jack made a great save but Middlewich followed up the rebound for 2 nil.
A disappointing result and whilst missing a few players we can play better than we showed today.
