Sandbach United U12 Sandba 2 vs 2 Hurdsfield Vipers

An away trip to Sandbach today, cracking pitch and weather was kind to us too. Our 1st game in our new kits, the boys were looking sharp.

1st half was fairly scrappy. The defence were doing really well, concentrating on not letting the ball bounce as we have been working on on training.

Mid way through the half a through ball went through our defence. Jack came flying off his line and bravely blocked the ball from the equally brave striker. A few minutes later though they scored through an almost carbon copy. We had a few half chances, Owen flashed one across goal and Ash and Zak nearly got on the end of crosses.

We re grouped at half time and early in 2nd half, Tymur showed quick feet and managed to get a good shot off. The keeper parried and Zak finished the rebound at the 2nd attempt. We had grown into the game but got stung by a 2nd Sandbach goal. The boys were showing more fight, with not much going our way on the whistle.

We moved the ball down the left from a good Franek throw in and Zak played across goal. Oliver showing good anticipation to put a good finish back across the keeper for 2-2. There weren't many other clear chances so ended in a hard fought draw.

MOTM - Franek. Excellent in defence, brave and won most things that came his way.
